Rebecca Grossman Co Founder Of Burn Center Foundation Found Guilty Of Hit And Run

Wealthy California Woman Sentenced to 15 Years to Life for Brothers' Deaths

Rebecca Grossman, Co-Founder of Burn Center Foundation, Found Guilty of Hit-and-Run

Heartbreaking Plea Falls on Deaf Ears During Sentencing

Rebecca Grossman, a wealthy California woman and co-founder of a Los Angeles-area burn center foundation, was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for the 2020 hit-and-run deaths of two young brothers, Jacob Iskander (8) and Mark Iskander (11).

During the emotional sentencing hearing Monday in Van Nuys, Grossman made a desperate plea for leniency, but her words were met with silence from the judge. She expressed deep remorse for her actions and begged for mercy, citing her previous work as a philanthropist and her history of supporting victims of burn injuries.

However, the prosecution argued that Grossman's status and wealth should not shield her from accountability for the tragic loss of life. They presented evidence of her reckless driving and her failure to provide aid to the injured children after striking them with her vehicle.

Grossman's co-founder at the Grossman Burn Foundation expressed shock and sadness over the outcome. He described Rebecca Grossman as a compassionate and dedicated advocate for burn victims and said he never expected her to be involved in such a horrific incident.

The case has garnered significant attention in the Los Angeles area, sparking outrage and demands for justice. The Iskander family has expressed gratitude for the sentence, saying it brings some closure to their unimaginable loss.
